Malaysia-India Business Council convened its 18th Annual General Meeting (AGM) on April 30, 2026, at Media Hotel, Tropicana Merchant Square, Petaling Jaya. The AGM brought together members of the Council to reflect on the organisation’s progress and continued commitment towards strengthening Malaysia–India business relations.
The official AGM proceedings commenced with an address by MIBC President Tan Sri Ir. Kuna Sittampalam, followed by the presentation of the Annual Report by Honorary Secretary Datuk Surendran Menon and the Treasurer’s presentation by Dr. Mohamed Ali Salim.
Following the AGM, the Post-AGM Dinner was held at the same venue, attended by distinguished guests, MIBC members, representatives from government agencies, business chambers, and industry leaders.
In his welcoming address during the dinner, Tan Sri Ir. Kuna Sittampalam reaffirmed MIBC’s commitment towards fostering stronger bilateral engagement and creating meaningful platforms for collaboration between Malaysia and India.
The highlight of the evening was a keynote address by guest speaker Tuan Khairy Jamaluddin, who shared valuable insights on the growing importance of Malaysia–India relations and the need to translate bilateral engagements into tangible economic outcomes. He also highlighted opportunities for deeper collaboration in sectors such as healthcare & digital economy.
MIBC was further honoured to have H.E. Mr. B.N. Reddy, High Commissioner of India in Malaysia, share his perspectives on bilateral trade, economic cooperation, and the strengthening partnership between Malaysia and India.
The evening concluded with dinner and fellowship in a warm and engaging atmosphere, making it a fruitful and memorable gathering for all attendees.
